Nisa is struggling to get deliveries out of its depot in Harlow due to the heavy snowfall last night across the south east.
The symbol group said it had caused disruption to delivery routes for a “small number” of Nisa retailers. The depot is run by DHL.
Some Costcutter stores, who share the Nisa supply chain, have also been affected. One retailer said their daily delivery, which includes everyday essentials and lunchtime goods such as milk, bread, and sandwiches, had been rolled over to tomorrow.
“After a very busy weekend, we had a phone call from Nisa saying ‘due to adverse weather conditions’, our chill delivery hadn’t left the depot,” the retailer said. “We were hoping that it would have been rescheduled for later in the morning as the majority of the items have a short shelf life, but it’s been rolled over to tomorrow.”
A Nisa spokeswoman said: “Heavy snow overnight in the south east of England caused disruption to some routes, which delayed delivery to a small number of Nisa customers today (12 December).
“Every effort is being made to get orders out, with temperature-controlled deliveries being prioritised. All impacted retailers have been kept informed.”
