Danish Crown says it doesn’t plan to make redundancies at its UK operation - but can’t guarantee jobs are safe.
The company - which has warned of up to 861 jobs losses at its Danish meat production facilities - says there are no redundancies planned for its UK arm. However, a spokeswoman added: “We don’t give any guarantees.”
The company blamed the Danish job losses on a decrease in the supply of pigs for slaughter. It hopes to save a quarter of the jobs as some production will be transferred to other sites.
