Kellogg’s has appointed Oliver Morton as its new UK sales director as the supplier seeks to drive sales across its cereal and snacks portfolio.
He is set to take up his position in mid-July as part of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to Jonathan Myers, vice president & general manager for Kellogg’s UK & Ireland.
Morton will join from Mars, where he is sales director for Wrigley UK and has seen the brand’s value rise £9.5m year-on-year [Nielsen 52 w/e 2 January 2016]. His career has spanned various fmcg categories and channels, including Molson Coors, P&G and PepsiCo UK, where he led the wholesale business across the full portfolio of crisps, snacks, nuts, drinks and cereals.
He holds a BSc in management sciences from UMIST - now the University of Manchester - and a postgraduate diploma in business management from the Nottingham Business School.
“We’re pleased to strengthen our leadership team with Oli’s appointment,” said Myers. “He shares our laser-like focus on driving sales skywards, and his wealth of experience across categories will serve him well as he tackles our substantial range of great-tasting products.”
Morton’s appointment follows former sales director Colin Bebbington’s move to the role of senior director of channel strategy across Kellogg’s European business.
