One Stop is trialling portable printers that allow its franchise retailers to print off reduced labels on the spot.
The printers are linked to the convenience chain’s handheld terminal and are being trialled at its Acocks Green and Matlock franchise stores.
Retailers scan the barcode of a product and the terminal suggests an appropriate reduction based on shelf life and stock quantity. The printer then prints out a clearance label with a barcode that can be scanned at the till.
“Our franchisees are benefiting hugely from the retail expertise we have at One Stop and this latest trial is yet another time-saving solution” said John Sargeant, One Stop head of IS.
“Their store looks more professional as a result and the retailer has the confidence that their labels are consistent and accurate.”
