Healthier ice cream brand Oppo Brothers has launched a direct-to-consumer service offering shoppers a free tub for their neighbour.
The DTC service, called Oppo Delivered, enables consumers to get ice cream delivered to their door, with 10% of profits being donated to NHS Charities Together.
It will run the service once per week, with orders made by midday on Tuesday being delivered on Thursday.
Both Oppo’s 475ml tubs and its three-packs of sticks are listed, all priced at £5.95. Each order allows the shopper to have a free tub delivered to a neighbour.
Oppo founders Charlie and Harry Thuillier said they wanted to “use ice cream as a force for good”. There were “fewer opportunities to feel good” while the public were confined to their homes, they said.
“We’ve decided we’d make it easier for our customers to get hold of Oppo to brighten their days and help others, while also supporting the NHS,” they added.
