Dublin-based Dairygold has announced the appointment of John O’Sullivan as director of its newly consolidated UK division, Dairygold UK.
He will oversee the development of Galtee and McLaren Meats and Haslington Cheese in the UK market.
O’Sullivan’s move forms part of an aggressive restructuring programme implemented by Dairygold chief executive Jerry Henchy. His replacement as general manager of Dairygold’s Galtee Meats division is John Cunningham.
Dairygold has been active in the UK since 1994, but its divisions have been scattered across the country. The intention is to consolidate sales and marketing in Manchester and Crewe and administration in west Wales. Henchy said: “The programme is aimed at lowering costs, increasing efficiencies and transforming Dairygold into a world class ingredients and consumer foods business. Our goals will be achieved through new product development, lower costs and exceptional customer service.”
