Peanut butter emerged triumphant from Nestlé’s search for a new flavour of Chunky Kit Kat.
The manufacturing giant launched its Choose a Chunky Champion campaign in January, giving chocolate lovers the chance to vote online for their favourite of four limited-edition flavours.
Chunky Peanut Butter saw off Orange, White Choc and Double Choc and will now join the range on a permanent basis.
“With consumers increasingly wishing to influence the future of their favourite brands, the Choose A Chunky Champion campaign resonated with the public, who were very vocal about which flavour they believed should win on Facebook,” said Kit Kat brand manager Brett Stephenson.
“With over half a million votes this was the biggest form of market research we have ever conducted.”
