Pernod Ricard has appointed Philip Ainsworth as its new marketing director.
Ainsworth, who was previously marketing director for Wyborowa vodka, takes over his new role from Patrick Venning, who is to become global marketing director for Ballantine’s Finest and Pernod’s Introduction to Scotch portfolio at its Scotch whisky business Chivas Brothers.
Pernod Ricard’s success in marketing was “testament to Patrick’s leadership and we’ve ensured his successor possesses the same drive and determination to make us stand out,” said its MD Laurent Pillet.
Ainsworth also previously worked for Majestic Wine, Enotria Winecellars and Bodegas Riojanas. He joined Pernod Ricard in 2008 as international regional manager.
