Organic baby food producer Plum has extended its portfolio pouch and finger foods portfolios.
The company’s new pouch line-up features six gourmet recipes including Italian-inspired risotto with salmon and traditional English bread & butter pudding (rsp: 99p/100g and £1.45/130g respectively).
Rolling out now, the pouches are joined on shelf by two new Oaty Chomp bars, in Pumpkin Pie and Strawberry Cheesecake (Rsp: £1.99/pack of five 20g bars) flavours.
“Pouches and finger food are the future for the category, with jars appearing terribly old-fashioned and inconvenient to mums,” said marketing director Nigel White.
This, coupled with consumer insight suggesting that mums were looking for seven days’ worth of flavour options in pouch format, made Plum’s range extension “timely and key in continuing to drive incremental sales”, he said.
In line with the rest of the brand, the new products contain no added sugar, salt, additives or artificial flavourings or colourings.
