A bakery in West London could be soon cashing in on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU by launching Brexit Bread.
Polish Village Bread in Hayes has applied for a class 30 trademark for the name, to cover multigrain, wholemeal, rolls and other bread variants and formats.
Founded in 2004 by Piotr Tomicki and Robert Ziola, the company produces a large variety of fresh and frozen bakery products, including yeast-free loaves, cakes and pastries, as well as Polish meals and sides such as stuffed cabbage leaves and herring salad. Its products are available in stores throughout the UK.
Brexit Bread will not be the first time Brexit has inspired Polish businessmen to launch a UK brand. Last year, Prestwich-based Pawel Tumilowicz and Mariusz Majchrzak unveiled the Brexit energy drink with a Union flag design.
