The brand is designed to offer families a nutritious, plant-based alternative, free from additives

Potina, a plant-based banana oat drink crafted for children, has launched nationwide.

The brand is designed to offer families a nutritious, plant-based alternative, free from additives.

It was created by former Alpro sales director Adam Womersley.

Potina is made with fibre-rich oats and organic bananas. It is also free from added sugars, sweeteners, oils or additives.

Bananas were chosen for their natural sweetness, nutrient profile and also to provide a balanced source of energy.

Each 200ml serving of Potina contains 4g of fibre and should be an easy way to help children reach their fibre goals.

“We want to make it super easy for families to make small, simple swaps towards a plant-forward diet,” said Womersley. “As a dad of two young children, I appreciate first-hand how much families want easy, nutritious options that support their kids’ health.

“With one in four children in the UK facing overweight or obesity challenges as early as ages four to five, we’re proud to lead the charge on healthier alternatives for families.”

Potina is part of a growing clean-label movement, responding to the demand for healthier, plant-based options with minimal processing and transparency, it said.

It is available in the baby & toddler aisle at Tesco from 21 October.
