Princes Foods has restructured its group board responsibilities. John Harrison becomes chief executive, while retaining his existing role as group managing director.
He takes over from John Mutch, who remains group chairman.
"The change will allow Harrison to fully take control of the company on a day-to-day basis, allowing me to devote more time to developing growth opportunities for Princes," says Mutch.
Harrison joined Princes 10 years ago and has worked his way through senior management.
From md of the soft drinks division, he became deputy md of the Princes Group and then md when John Mutch became chief executive. Harrison has been in senior roles throughout Princes transformation as a manufacturing business.
