Receivers have been called in at Lincoln based sandwich maker Tinsley Foods. A major employer in the Holbeach St Marks area with 950 staff, the firm supplies prepacked salads, sandwiches and prepared vegetables to Marks and Spencer, Morrisons and Safeway. Full year turnover to March 31 was £53m. Receivers KPMG said they were keen to sell the business as a going concern to protect jobs. Nobody from the company was available for comment but it is understood to have lost several major contracts in recent months as retailers rationalised their supply base. {{NEWS }}
