Mr Bagels has appointed Reza Hajyzamanali as commercial director. He will be handling duties previously overseen by managing director Paul Kahalani.
Hajyzamanali has been charged with helping to lead the company through an aggressive expansion programme.
He will be responsible for all aspects of Mr Bagels’ operations, including manufacturing, packaging, technical functions and new product development. In addition, he has responsibility for strategic sales.
Hajyzamanali rejoins the bagel manufacturer, where he was formerly operations director, after leaving to work for Canadian food business Maple Leaf Foods for a short time.
He was technical director working on the company’s New York Bagels brand.
Kahalani said: “Reza is just the man we need to help us reach our production target of 100 million bagels a year by 2006.”
