Former Molson Coors sales director John Heynen is the new commercial director for fine foods distributor RH Amar.

Heynen, who was at the brewer for eight years, replaces CEO David Mellor, who is retiring.

Heynen started his career at Tesco, before moving on to roles at UB and PepsiCo. At RH Amar, he will be responsible for running the sales team and for delivering the importer’s growth plans.

“Joining a business with such a significant opportunity for growth is an exciting prospect,” he said. “I am looking forward to playing my part in delivering against some stretching but achievable goals.”
