Nestlé is extending its Rolo brand with the launch of a Rolo biscuit next month.
Available in a pack of six caramel and chocolate biscuit pieces (rsp: £1.55), each 95-calorie biscuit will be individually wrapped.
The launch will be supported by a £400,000 push including sampling and TV ads from September.
It follows Aero's extension into biscuits earlier this year, and Burton's development of Cadbury confectionery branded biccies.
Sales of the Rolo brand are up 19% in the past year to £18m [SymphonyIRI 52w/e 18 June 2011].
