Spar UK has named Philippe Rondepierre as head of marketing.
Rondepierre takes on the role in March, joining from Scottish Spar wholesaler CJ Lang. He has worked at CJ Lang for 21 years, holding a number of roles during that time, including group marketing controller, business development controller and, most recently, sales controller.
In his new role he will be responsible for driving and implementing Spar’s sales plan and delivering the marketing elements of Spar’s 10-point strategy Inspiring Growth. He will relocate from Dundee to Harrow, leading a team of three and reporting to Spar UK managing director Debbie Robinson.
“I am very happy to be taking this exciting opportunity to progress my career with Spar UK,” he said.
“This is a fantastic chance for me to make the most of the knowledge and experience I have gained with CJ Lang and test my skills on an even larger scale.”
CJ Lang managing director Scott Malcolm said he was sad to see Rondepierre go.
“Philippe is a loyal and committed member of the senior management team and we are sad to lose him but his association with Spar continues to both our advantages. I would like to congratulate Philippe and thank him for his commitment to the company over the years.”
Robinson added: “I have every confidence that Spar will benefit hugely from his presence on our team, and that Philippe will be instrumental in helping us continue to develop our professional marketing.”
