Kepak Convenience Foods has added wraps to its Rustlers portfolio in a bid to double sales to £140m.
The Rustlers Hot Wraps duo, rolling out now, consists of a Chicken Salsa with Cheese and a BBQ Chicken with Cheese variant (rsp: £1.99).
The launch marked the start of an "innovative NPD programme" that would include several firsts for the hot snacking category, the company said.
"Our aim is to double our £70m UK business within the next five years," said marketing director John Armstrong.
He predicted the wraps, which will be introduced at a promotional price of £1, would generate £10m in first-year sales.
Kepak already accounts for 64% of the £108m hot snacking market [Nielsen 52w/e 27 November 2010].
