Blakemore Trade Partners has promoted Sarah Ellis to the newly created position of marketing director.
Ellis joined Blakemore as head of marketing two years ago and was responsible for delivering a footfall-driving marketing strategy to increase basket spend for retailers across Spar’s Meridian and Welsh Guild.
During her time as head of marketing, Ellis spearheaded the development of a new business-to-business multichannel marketing strategy, launched a retailer marketing club and created a local area marketing programme, allowing retailers to work with the marketing team to develop, launch and manage campaigns tailored to their specific store needs.
In her new role, Ellis will continue to focus on digital channels, growing the Spar brand and embedding the Blakemore Trade Partners marketing initiatives across the rest of the business.
“Sarah has made a great contribution to the company since joining and has built a team that supports the local marketing needs of Spar’s Meridian & Welsh Guild retailers across all channels, from the traditional, such as store launches and leaflets, to the more innovative use of social media,” said Blakemore Trade Partners MD Jerry Marwood.
“I am confident that Sarah will continue to play a key role in the delivery of innovative new marketing initiatives as we continue to enhance our offer to Spar retailers.”
