Vimto Soft Drinks has appointed Steve Lamb to the new role of sales director, following the re-positioning of the company from a production-led to a brand-led business.
Lamb has been recruited from Scottish Courage, where he held a number of roles across both the off-trade and on-trade. He has also held senior roles at GlaxoSmithKline, where he worked on Lucozade and Ribena, and at Walkers crisps.
Lamb said: “I have been very fortunate to work with some great brands throughout my career and Vimto is no exception. It has a strong track record, a tremendous consumer franchise and is flexible enough
to respond quickly to the marketplace.”
Vimto said it was continuing to strengthen its team after a “hugely successful” year which had seen the company invest £3.5m behind its flagship brand.
