The Scottish government has launched a dairy brand as part of its efforts to boost the beleaguered dairy industry north of the border. The Scottish Dairy brand will be added to products such as cheese and butter and is designed to signpost shoppers to Scottish produce., and to help retailers and overseas buyers boost the profile of the sector.
“The dairy sector has had a difficult time and I want to assure farmers that we are doing everything we can to help them through the recent reductions in milk prices,” said first minister Nicola Sturgeon.
