A chocolate library will be the centrepiece of a new-look confectionery hall at Selfridges set to be unveiled next week.
The library will stock over 400 different chocolate bars shelved from A to Z and hosted by a Selfridges chocolatier who will help shoppers pick their preferred bar.
Selfridges claimed that the library would offer an unrivalled breadth of range. A number of brands including Casa Grande, Al Nassma and Adoré will be sold in the UK for the first time.
“A host of new and interesting flavours such as almond & orange peel, lemongrass, green grape & cacao nibs, as well as black olive & pink peppercorn - even a camel milk chocolate - will be on offer to satisfy even the most adventurous chocolate fanatic,” said a spokeswoman for Selfridges.
The new-look, 4,000 sq ft confectionery hall will sell more than 50 new brands as well as Selfridges’ recently revamped own-label range - sourced using only British and Irish suppliers.
The layout of the hall has also been updated to improve navigation and create more opportunities for interaction between customers and staff.
