Asda has promoted Jason Sharpe to head of corporate marketing, replacing Elaine Robinson who is moving to a role where she oversees the development of its Supercentres.
Sharpe joins the marketing department at Asda House in Leeds on April 20. His responsibilities include development and delivery of instore and external marketing.
His remit includes national retail campaigns, advertising, door drops, magazine communications and instore marketing through events and PoS material.
Sharpe will move from his
post as coach for the south east. This role was split into two main areas: people development and succession planning and instore compliance and implementation of the Asda brand at point of sale.
His responsibilities included ensuring stores traded well and monitoring availability and merchandising.
He has most recently been involved in training Asda sales staff in Essex and Kent. The multiple said his input had helped to produce excellent results, with Kent achieving the best sales results in the UK.
He began his career at Sainsbury, holding roles such as warehouse manager, provision manager and regional marketing manager before taking up the same role at Asda.
