Southern Comfort is adding an RTD premix to its drinks portfolio to cash in on growth in the take-home booze market.
Southern Comfort Lemonade & Lime launches next month in 250ml single cans (rsp £1.59) and four-packs priced £5.99. The 5% abv drink would boost the brand's presence in the off-trade sector, according to Southern Comfort UK brand manager Lois Ireson.
"We know that more people are enjoying spirits from the take-home sector," she said. "The portability and convenience of our new drink will appeal to both our core consumers and will also attract new advocates to the brand."
Owner Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands is backing the launch with promotional activity in multiples and at next month's Rock Ness festival in Inverness.
In March, rival Diageo debuted premixes including Morgan's Spiced & Cola and Bulleit Bourbon & Cola.
