Symbol group Spar has launched a national branded range of red meat which will be made available to all 2,700 stores nationwide.
The 25 fixed weight prepack cuts of beef, lamb and pork are all from farm-assured suppliers.
The launch of the range will be backed by instore merchandising material.
Ian Florey, trading manager at Spar, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the British meat industry with the launch of our new own label meat range.
“Consumers want reassurance that the meat they’re purchasing is from quality farm-assured suppliers and the Spar name on the range provides that.”
Florey added: “We are also hoping to bring in new consumers to the convenience sector while also appealing to existing ones who in a time pressured environment prefer to buy their weekly shopping as well as top-ups from a Spar.
“Store managers should take advantage of this opportunity and stock up on this range.”
