Spar will be unveiling a new store fascia, off licence package and a raft of new service initiatives at its biennial conference in Penang this week.
The fascia launched at a BP forecourt site in Belfast has been designed to "revitalise and modernise the Spar brand", said marketing controller Joanne Morley. It will be available to retailers from November.
"The exteriors of our stores are the first point of contact with any customer. We must ensure that our biggest advert, our store exteriors, are presented in a way that supports the brand and what it stands for," she added.
The logo has been developed as a badge over the entrance with the rest of the fascia kept white to present a cleaner, fresher more modern image.
The off-licence package available to retailers next year will include new signage, new lighting, fixtures and fittings and new point-of-sale material defining drinking occasions.
