Spoon Cereals has rolled out a new range of muesli with ancient grains, superfood powders and warming spices.
The new lineup, rolling out exclusively across selected Waitrose stores today, comprises two variants: ‘The Nutty One’ and ‘Berry Fix’ (rsp: £3.89/450g).
Joining the brand’s existing granola range, which launched into the mults after winning backing on Dragons’ Den in 2014, the new duo would bring the “wow factor” to muesli, which had “gained a reputation for looking and tasting a bit like rabbit food,” said Spoons Cereal co-founder Annie Morris.
“We wanted to achieve a product that wasn’t full of dried fruits, refined sugars or artificial favours, which meant days of testing recipes with the perfect blend of top-quality whole grains, nuts, fruits and spices,” she added. “The result is something that is both nutritious but most importantly full of flavour.”
Spoon will celebrate the launch with a breakfast pop-up at The Watch House in London’s Fetter Lane, where it will be serving muesli topped with seasonal fruits, full-fat yoghurt and granola toppings.
