The UK supplier of Japanese algae health product Sun Chlorella claims it sold out last month after a tweet from supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley sent sales soaring. Huntington-Whiteley, who has given her name to an M&S lingerie range, tweeted a picture of herself with the chlorella-based drink. Sun Chlorella UK said it had to get an emergency air shipment from Japan to replenish stocks. The product is sold by stores including Tesco’s Nutricentre health and nutrition business. Last year, fellow supermodel Miranda Kerr also endorsed chlorella, saying she used the algae supplements, which are high in vitamin B and iron, for her skin.
