Tesco media and entertainment director Rob Salter is leaving the business.
Salter - who was in charge of the retailer’s music, film, games, books, newspapers and magazines business - has been with the retailer for four years.
In his time at Tesco the chain has introduced the Blinkbox online video service and started selling pre-owned video games. Six months ago, Salter kicked off a trial of the Discs on Demand in-store CD and DVD burning system.
A spokesman for Tesco said it expected to announce Salter’s replacement in the new year. “Rob Salter has decided to leave the business to pursue other interests,” she added.
