Tesco is preparing to introduce its RFID tracking by the end of the year, having been delayed by the setting of global standards for technology, according to a spokesperson.
“We will work with our suppliers in a working group that will be set up to take the issue forward,” he added.
The retailer is to use passive RFID tags in its warehouses to track high-value items, such as cameras, electric toothbrushes and razor blades, supplied to its 98 Extra superstores,
