Tesco has today brought back its Spotify style personalised shopping summary, Tesco Unpacked, along with a new feature awarding £5 vouchers to 40,000 Clubcard holders.

The retailer today began rolling out the findings to more than 18 million people in the loyalty scheme.

As well as giving a personalised breakdown, Tesco revealed national statistics including a change at the top in the nation’s favourite meal deal at the supermarket.

For the previous two years the top combination was the Tesco Sausage, Bacon &  Egg Triple, McCoy’s Flame Grilled Steak Grab Bag Crisps 45g and Coca Cola 500ml. But two of the three components changed this time, with the new top spots taken by the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich for main and the Tesco Egg Protein Pot as the most popular snack. Coca-Cola 500ml remained the most popular drink.

Tesco revealed the most purchased products varied widely across the UK, with avocados (multipack and individual) both featuring in the top 20 for Londoners, though they did not appear at all in Edinburgh’s top 20.

However, both Butter Croissants and Chocolate Croissants featured in their top 20, whilst there were no pastries in the top 20 for Londoners.

Tesco also shared what the breakdown suggested was the savviest region of the UK, with the award going to the Isle of Man whose Clubcard hodlers earnt an average of 2,231 points during 2024.
