The Collective is looking to bring gourmet credentials to the kids’ yoghurts category with the launch of premium fresh yoghurt pouches later this month.
The Collective Suckies are suitable for kids aged six months and older, and will come in four flavours - kiwi, pear & apple; sassy strawberry; sunkissed tropical; and peach & apricot (all rsp: 89p for a 100g pouch). They go into Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado, Nisa and Booths on 21 April, with listings in Tesco to follow in June.
There are several ambient yoghurt pouches for kids already on the market, but The Collective said Suckies would be the first fresh branded yoghurt pouch for kids.
It is also highlighting the fact Suckies contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives with a front-of-pack flash saying “no nasties”. And in light of recent negative headlines about sugar, it is stressing they contain only naturally occurring sugars from fruit.
“We launched the range to create a children’s snack that will be loved by kids for its taste and by parents for being convenient, mess-free and as wholesome and natural as possible,” said The Collective co-founder Amelia Harvey.
“We know that children are big fans of our brand and believe that this new range will provide the business with a huge opportunity for expansion.”
Separately, The Collective this week announced the next limited-edition flavour for its core yoghurt range would be crème brulée, created in partnership with Olympic cyclist Geraint Thomas. It goes on shelf on 5 May (rsp: £2.39).
