Unilever’s venture capital arm has invested in frozen yoghurt retailer Snog as it looks to expand in the UK and overseas.
Snog has frozen yoghurt shops in London and franchise partners in South America and the Middle East, and was in discussions with major supermarkets last year about take-home product listings.
Its products are fat free and made with organic yoghurt, organic milk and sweetened organic agave nectar with a variety of toppings.
The investment would allow Snog to reach more consumers, said CEO Rob Baines, who co-founded the business with Pablo Uribe in 2008. “We have a shared vision for where the brand should develop,” he added.
