Tesco has bolstered its Polish dairy offer with the introduction of Unilever’s Rama spread brand.

Rama Classic, which is sold around the world and is well known in Poland, went into Tesco last week (£2.00 for a 500g tub).

The margarine - which can be used for spreading and cooking - would offer Tesco’s Polish customers more variety, said Tesco buyer Alexe Tomalin. “At Tesco we have the biggest and most consistent range of polish dairy, which we want to continue to drive forward with new and quality products.”

Unilever declined to comment because the product was being sold to Tesco through a third party.
