Ice cream dessert brand Viennetta is being given two new variants - the first major NPD for the product in more than three years - to warm up sales in the run-up to Christmas.
A chocolate and orange version, comprising chocolate and orange ice cream between chocolate layers, and a caramel variant, with caramel-flavoured ice cream and sauce, will be available from this month priced at £1.79. Price-marked packs for £1 will also be available for a limited period to encourage trial.
Brand manager Sheila Hesketh said: "Viennetta is a well-loved brand; it's the perfect dessert to share with family and friends on special occasions, such as Christmas. The new flavours will add excitement and interest and ensure retailers' freezer aisles and cabinets are revitalised during the cold, winter months."
A nationwide radio advertising campaign will support the products throughout the festive period.
