Waitrose has been crowned supreme retailer at the International Cheese Awards.
The retailer won 22 gold medals at the awards, held this week at the Nantwich and South Cheshire Show. Morrisons secured 18 golds and M&S 16, while Sainsbury’s and Tesco both got six, The Co-op three, and Asda, Aldi and Lidl one each.
“This highlights the quality, value and diversity of cheese Waitrose has to offer,” said cheese buyer Carla Smith.
