Weetabix has appointed Nurain Mohamed as head of business finance.
Mohamed will lead the cereal giant’s commercial finance, operations, and supply chain finance functions.
Mohamed has over 15 years’ experience in finance and auditing roles, working for the likes of KPMG, Rolls-Royce and Jaguar Land Rover.
Most recently, he was finance director for UK operations at Jacobs Douwe Egberts, where he spent four years. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He takes over from Bruce Condon, who stepped into an executive leadership role within the company as director of finance in March.
Mohamed said he was “very proud” to join the business.
“I’ve always had a passion to work for well-known companies and it doesn’t get much bigger in the UK than Weetabix.”
These were “challenging times for many food and drink manufacturers”, said Mohamed, adding that he was “looking forward to getting under the skin of the business to help us efficiently and sustainability keep on feeding the nation with tasty, nutritious products.”
Condon said Mohamed’s “wealth of experience” would make him “a great asset for the finance team”.
