Whitworths has rolled out a new line of dried fruit and nut snacks aimed at health-conscious consumers.
Going into Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose this month, the Whitworths Fusions selection will feature three permanent SKUs - Apple Cinnamon Jumble, Bountiful Coconutty and Berryfruit Madness - and limited-edition variant Chilli Nutty Cocoa-Chaos. The packets will vary in size from 90g to 100g bags (rsp: £1.99).
The supplier said the adult snacking market had grown 9% year-on-year, driven by double-digit growth in dried fruit and nut mixes [Kantar Worldpanel June 2015].
“We go to great lengths to source and select the finest ingredients, and we’ve matched that with extensive taste tests to make sure the Fusions blends are exactly right,” added Phil Gowland, head of marketing at Whitworths. “The result is a truly different product, and a snacking option that is healthier with no sacrifice on taste.”
