Toilet tissue challenger Who Gives a Crap has expanded into bin bags, food waste bags and dog poo bags.
The bin bags – available in 15-litre (rsp: £6/60), 30-litre (rsp: £7/40) and 50-litre (rsp: £8/40) – and dog poo bags (rsp: £7/200) are made from “super strong” 100% recycled plastic.
The TÜV Austria certified compostable food waste bags (rsp: £10/60), meanwhile, are made from plant matter. They break down within a year in home compost, or within three months at an industrial facility, according to the brand. All bags in the range are “leak and tear resistant” with easy-tie handles.
Like Who Gives a Crap’s toilet tissue range, they feature an array of designs with bold colours and geometric shapes. The dog poo bags feature illustrations of pooches.
They launched via the brand’s webstore this week.
“Who Gives a Crap is so much more than just a toilet and tissue paper brand,” said chief commercial officer and UK & Europe lead Emily Kraftman.
“We’re always looking to find more sustainable household solutions, which is why we’re so excited to be expanding into an all-new product category.
“Plastic pollution is a huge issue for the environment, and plastic bin bags play a big part in this,” Kraftman said.
“We thought an apt solution to this would be our own innovative rubbish bags, all made from rubbish,” she added.
Who Gives a Crap donates 50% of its profits to helping build toilets around the world.
