Spice Guru is a new range of curry pastes for fish, vegetables and meat.
Based on recipes from the Gujarat region of western India, they come in three varieties - Fabulous Fish, Vibrant Vegetable and Magical Meat - and are free of artificial flavours
and preservatives. Each paste comes in a 200g jar (rsp: £2.95), which the company claims provides 20 single servings. Innovative packaging formats are also being developed.
Available to the trade now, Spice Guru is being marketed and distributed by fine food specialist Waissel’s.
Chairman Sydney Waissel claimed: “There’s nothing like it on the market and it’s what consumers are asking for.”
Waissel’s is negotiating with a number of major multiples and independents to secure listings and will showcase the pastes at the BBC Good Food Show.
