Zeo is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the launch of a limited-edition pink Caramel, Coconut & Passion Fruit flavour.
The soft drinks brand will sell 180,000 275ml bottles of the variant throughout October, with 10p from each bottle going to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, which makes grants to UK breast cancer charities.
In addition to the special SKU, Zeo has also signed up as headline sponsor for the Pink Ribbon Foundation’s PINKLondon event tomorrow (Tuesday,29 September). Consumers are also being urged to post photos of themselves winking on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #ZeoWinkForPink, with Zeo donating 5p for every selfie posted using the tag.
“We at Zeo are excited to launch a new, original flavour to the category, but moreover are extremely proud to be supporting such a worthy cause,” said marketing director Ian Greengrass. “We know that this topic and charity are very close to our consumers’ hearts, and we very much want to encourage as much support as possible.”
Other brands supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with ‘pink’ products include Mission Food, with Mission Deli Original Tortilla Wraps; Streamline Foods, with its Less Sugar Jams and Marmalades; and Smint, with Strawberry Mix.
Asda is also running a Tickled Pink campaign, offering Pink Ribbon-branded products including Alpro Almond Drink and Plain Yoghurt, Hovis Nimble, and Diet Coke multipacks.
