What's it like to work for your company? It is a happy place to work; the people are friendly and always keen to help.

Why is it a good employer? Muntons offers employees a number of benefits a good example is their cycle to work scheme.

What's the best thing about working there? The people. They are fun and friendly, making the working week enjoyable. There are many interesting projects, making every day exciting and different.

How does the company differ from its rivals? Muntons has been producing malt and malted ingredients for more than 90 years. During this time it has grown to become a significant international player in the supply of malts, malt extracts, homebrew kits for beer and wine, flours, flakes and more.

Is there a definable company culture? Yes! 'Team Muntons.' The atmosphere is supportive and there is a natural bond among the staff.

If the company were a car what would it be and why? Something like a Range Rover: a bit different from the others and known for its quality. There is the rural connection, too.

What's the training like and what qualifications can I earn? Muntons is very supportive of its staff and develops their skills through continued education. I am currently studying for my postgraduate diploma in marketing, which Muntons encouraged me to do and is helping to pay for.

Has the company won any awards or been recognised in the past few years as an employer? This year Muntons was ranked 13th in the Sunday Times' best green companies list, having made the top 60 for four consecutive years. It also has ISO 14001 certification for environmental management. Since 1999, Muntons has consistently outperformed climate change emissions targets set by government, achieved by a comprehensive carbon reduction programme.

What's your proudest achievement of the past 12 months? Passing the first two modules of my diploma was a great relief! And being involved with NPD projects such as the launch of Maltichoc a partial cocoa replacer that helps improve the quality of the chocolate baked product but also helps the baker save money.

Are you looking for any people right now and, if so, where? Yes, we are looking for a malt extract shift manager and a multi- skilled shift engineer.
