As tea sales cool, Yorkshire is keeping nice and cosy
Last year’s ranking: 115

As tea sales cool, Yorkshire is keeping nice and cosy. It’s the strongest performing tea brand in this report, up £6.4m (7.9%) on units up 4.8%. It’s done this by sticking to its roots and spending big on marketing. Bar the 2016 launch of a trio of special brews, Yorkshire hasn’t gone down the same route as many that have tried to stay afloat with regular NPD and rebranding exercises. Instead, it’s stuck to what it calls ‘proper brews’. In 2017 it splashed out £7m on ads featuring famous Yorkshire faces including the Kaiser Chiefs.
