Safeway insists it is “business as usual” as its wine department prepares to unveil its new range amid speculation over the multiple’s sale.

The new line-up will be showcased at a trade event in April. In the meantime, the beer team has added a new brew from America to its growing range of international beers.

Alaskan Smoked Porter hits shelves next month priced at £2.45. It has limited availability as the brewery only produces it in small amounts.
