Heinz and Whole Earth Foods are to slap 'Delia Cheat! Ingredient' stickers on packs this week after celebrity cook Delia Smith named the brands in her new book.
The companies have bought the rights to use the logo on two Aunt Bessie's products and two Whole Earth lines to cash in on sales expected through the "Delia effect".
Sales of cranberries rocketed when Smith used them in her show in 2001, while egg sales also soared after she showed the nation how to boil and fry them.
In her book, How to Cheat at Cooking, Smith recommends Aunt Bessie's Homestyle roast potatoes and mashed potatoes as well as Whole Earth crunchy peanut butter and organic tomato ketchup
Own-label products from Sainsbury's and M&S also feature in the book.
"When Delia speaks, the nation listens and a mention of a brand or food can lead to sales uplifts," said Amanda Walker, marketing director for Heinz frozen.
