Booths has become the first supermarket to stock Freedom Food-accredited beef sourced from National Trust farms.
The meat, which went on sale in six stores at the beginning of the month, is matured for up to 30 months. It is produced from traditional breeds of cattle, including Aberdeen Angus, reared by farmers on National Trust farms in the Booths region.
"Booths and the National Trust have helped to fund equipment for farmers, including water troughs, weighing scales and modifications to buildings," said Booths fresh meat buyer Nigel Cockell.
