Britvic is relaunching and rolling out French adult soft drink brand Teisseire to the UK market.
Teisseire syrups - which can be diluted and drunk as a squash or added to other drinks - are currently sold in retailers including Waitrose and Ocado in international packaging that was designed for the French market. Originally established in 1720, Teisseire is available in more than 80 countries.
From next month, Britvic will begin rolling Teisseire out across UK grocery after redesigning and repositioning it for the UK market. It will be sold in metal packaging designed to have a premium feel and attract more adults to the squash fixture and, according to Britvic, will also offer ‘the first premium 0% sugar offering in the category’. The 60cl bottles will be available in flavours that Britvic described as ‘as close to the real fruit as possible’: Lemon, Grenadine, Passion Fruit, Pink Grapefruit (0% sugar) and Raspberry & Cranberry (0% sugar) with a £3.49 rsp.
The relaunch is part of a range of activity being launched by Britvic this year as it looks to transform the squash market into a ‘dilutes segment’ that it says will appeal to more shoppers, unlock new consumption occasions and drive category growth.
“Teisseire is testament to our commitment to invigorate the dilutes category,” said Britvic at-home commercial director Ian Forshew.
Teisseire will be supported from April by an integrated marketing campaign designed to build awareness.
