The Weetabix Food Company is returning to TV next week with a £4.2m investment in ads for its Weetos and Weetabix cereal brands. The £1.2m push for Weetos, which will run in April and May with additional bursts later in the year, has been designed to highlight the taste of the chocolate-flavoured cereal. An animated Weeto character has been created to make the brand more appealing to children and teenagers. It will be supported by online activity and cinema ads nationwide in the school summer holidays. The Weetabix ad, which also kicks off next week, follows the same format as last year's family campaign and is part of a £3m adspend for the brand. It introduces a new family and promotes a variety of ideas for healthy ways to enjoy the cereal.
