Crediton Dairy is boosting the protein content of its Pro Mlk range and introducing a new vanilla flavour.
The protein-enriched milkshake brand will see each serving deliver 25g of protein from March, up from 20g. It is also introducing a new, fat and sugar-free vanilla flavour.
The shakes will remain priced at £1.15 for a 330ml carton and will be available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Co-op and Morrisons.
The new vanilla variant will join the brand’s existing chocolate and strawberry flavours.
It will replace the range’s coffee and salted caramel flavours, which are being phased out after research by the brand revealed that, aside from the perennial flavour favourites of chocolate and strawberry, “vanilla was now at the top of consumers’ flavour wish list”.
“2025 is set to be another great year for Pro Mlk as we enhance both our range of flavours with the launch of vanilla and, at the same time, deliver even better taste and value by providing more protein to consumers for the same great value price point,” said Crediton Dairy brand manager Jo Taylor.
The announcement comes after the Devon-based processor announced in August 2023 that it would be pumping £20m into production and sustainability by upgrading the business’s dairy processing capabilities, employee welfare and office facilities and carbon reduction initiatives.
