Del Monte has launched Squeezie, a fruit-based snack pitched as a yoghurt alternative for kids, in partnership with Disney.
The ambient products will feature Mickey or Minnie Mouse on the front, They would present a “fun, healthy snack for kids parents can trust”, Del Monte said, and would be sold alongside fruit snacks.
Presented in pouch format, the products come in three flavours: Apple, Banana & Strawberry; Apple & Mango and Apple, Strawberry & Blueberry (rsp: 79p). They are made with 100% fruit, and contain no added sugar or artificial ingredients. Available from Asda and convenience stores nationwide, the range is designed to be an after-school treat or a lunchbox addition.
“The trend for healthy eating continues to grow and we know parents are on a constant search for nutritious snacks their children will enjoy,” said Martin Tilney, commercial director UK.
“That’s why we’re delighted to be working with Disney to launch our new Squeezies range. Healthy eating should be a fun experience for the whole family and at Del Monte we hope to make this easier for parents to achieve.”
